When evacuating from a hurricane, one must always take into consideration their critters. Having two dogs limits the places we are welcome, for sure. But Bubba and Katie Lady were champs and welcomed the whole family into their Dallas-area home. We had 9 people (me, Hubby, Daughter, Little Son, Bubba's Mom and Dad, and Bubba, Katie Lady, and Drew Bear) and 3 dogs (Jax, Tango, and Bubba's Mom's dog Charlie) all there - and everyone behaved themselves perfectly! The dogs all got along, were sweet to Drew Bear, didn't mess anything up in the house, and made themselves right at home:

LOL! Although, I'm really not surprised we were thinking alike this time.
Sadly, the pets do limit places you can shelter. And you can't leave them behind. I'm thankful ya'll had some place to go with the pups.
Last evacuation, my grandparents were generous allowing Ty to visit. And this time it was our turn to host some critters. I'm sure Bubba & Katie didn't mind hosting because it meant ya'll were safe.
Cute little puppies! I know they're not puppies, but you know what I mean. I'm glad you had someone to take in not only you, but your pets. Our neighbor stayed here, and he was gracious enough to take care of our dog and cat. Are you back home now, and is all well? I still know lots of people with no power. So glad we have ours. I'm ready to get back into a normal routine.
Such sweet pups. I know vacationing can be difficult with pups, I can't imagine an emergency evac w/ them. Glad you had a place to go.
