Rain, rain, go away.....

“Into each life some rain must fall, some days must be dark and dreary.”
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Here's what it looks like where I live today (this picture was taken from a local TV studio this morning). This is also what it looked like yesterday. And the day before. In fact, we have only had four days in July that it has not rained in the Houston/Galveston area. June was just as bad! I think it might be time to start building an ark.

Yep, I've been in Oklahoma the last two days and it HAS NOT RAINED here. I stepped out of the airport into warm sun and a cloudless sky. I didn't realize how much I'd missed it. Then this morning the radio station here was whining about it being humid. Um, no. I walked out thinking it felt like Fall--definitely dry and somewhat cool. I even needed lotion this morning and had none. I used conditioner on my legs. Sad but true.

Oh, an ark--how fun would that be? You could steer upstream and pick me up on our way to Hawaii!

Keep the clouds down there, kk....because it's very overcast in KC today and I know it's your leftovers. Thanks for the hug, B/S, you are a sweet hearted person. And you're right, they're watching over my family, I know this...kinda scary what it looks like sometimes, tho, lol.

Maybe I shouldn't have said rules...more like things I have learned. I don't know rules, I don't live by them anyway!

I normally love a dark rainy day. However, all this non-stop rain is really starting to affect my mood. I need some sun shining down on me. Then I can complain about how hot it is. Never satisfied..... ;)

I've heard on the news about all that rain. Send some to Michigan, ok?
