On Monday nights there are three shows I enjoy, but two of them wrapped up this week. As corny as it is, our whole family really enjoys watching American Gladiators (and Hubby and I remember the original show!). My favorite Gladiator is Wolf.
This week was the season finale, and two of our favorites, Ally and Tim, were the big winners. Yay!
We also watch Nashville Star on Mondays, and it, too, had its season finale this week. We were so happy when Melissa won!!
The other Monday night show, Saving Grace, is not for kids - we DVR it and Hubby and I watch it after they go to bed. But it's a great show - gritty, but great storylines and characters. We really enjoy it. Holly Hunter does an excellent job (and I love to hear her talk!).Tuesday is Little Son's favorite show - Wipeout. When I first saw this I thought it was going to be so stupid, but I cracked up the whole time and now I don't miss an episode! Little Son loves it so much that he even built a working Sweeper out of Legos (I was impressed!). Daughter hates the show, but the rest of us laugh our heads off every time we watch it. And laughter is good, even if it's at someone else's expense sometimes. Ha
Wednesdays bring Greatest American Dog. I LOVE dogs, and I love this show! It's another show the whole family watches together, and we're rooting for Bill and Star.
I cried this week when Brandy and Beacon went home.
Brandy was annoying, but Beacon looks like my Misty, and I miss her so much!
Also on Wednesdays is So You Think You Can Dance - with results on Thursdays. Tonight was the finale, and I couldn't be happier with the winner - congratulations to fellow Texan Joshua! For a mostly untrained street dancer, you stepped up to the challenges thrown at you and you were amazing! You deserve the top spot!
Watching the dancing has made me realize how much I miss it. It's so much a part of who I am. I don't miss teaching it, but I miss doing it. Perhaps this fall I'll look into taking a class - maybe something I've never tried, like ballroom dancing. That would be so fun! Then maybe someday I can be on my other favorite show that starts back up September 22 - Dancing With the Stars!
Wanna join me?

I too remember the original Gladiators, I have only watched the new one once.
I also watch the Greatest American Dog, but it's getting to the point where when the dog loses they look like they let their human down and that kills me.
I miss Misty too.
I'd join in ballroom dancing in a heartbeat but I'd look like such an uncoordinated, no rhythm, klutz next to you! And don't forget there are some kiddos who want to take tap from you. ;)
I am so so so so happy that Josh won. He's truly brilliant. And his elevation. Wow.
I love Bill & Star. Lamb is rooting for Preston. She just loves that little dog.
Big D & I used to watch the original Gladiators too. He doesn't watch the new ones tho, only because he's working. I was happy for Tim & Ally too. It would have been so cool if her hubby could have won too, but hey, no shame in their game!
I clearly don't get enough TV time--I need to check some of these out. xoxo
All we watch here is baseball...Texas Rangers every day. We watch the Astros when they decide to air it here, which is not very often.
hey, I'm back and we love WIPEOUT! Actually I watch it once a week,
Sk8terBoy (my son) watches it 50 times on DVR until the next week... I have had enough 'big balls' to last a lifetime! ck ya later! kris
I love Bill and Star.....I really hope they take the top prize.
Like Shakespeare said - TV or not TV, that is the question!
Okay...I can finally comment today. I had to wait until I watched So You Think You Can Dance that I had recorded. I knew you watched it so I didn't read this post as I didn't want anything spoiled. :)
Out of your list I only watch two of those. You know about one. The other is Saving Grace. But unfortunately we have yet to watch any of them this season. We do have them recorded!
I am taking Tap and can't wait for it to start back up in September! Go for it...take a class!
Hi there! I found your blog at We are THAT Family. The breast cancer sign got my attention. My grandma passed away from breast cancer 3 years ago. This past year I did the Avon Breast Walk in Houston back in April. Did you by any chance walk too? Take care, Julie
Hey, Julie, I was at that walk! In the rain, no less. I am sorry about your grandmother. I hate that cancer keeps stealing people from us.
Hey, Julie! I didn't walk but D... walked in honor of my mom - who has beat breast cancer THREE TIMES now! Do you live in the Houston area?
Thanx for stopping by my blog! Come back anytime!
I would do it again in a heartbeat for your mom.
I love GAD!!! I was bawling when Teresa gave up her prize to Bill. That was so cool
I watched American Gladiators, Nashville Star, and SYTYCD! I never watched the dog show, though.
I can't wait for "Pushing Daisies" to come back on. There's not a whole lot I have gotten into this summer, except of course Astros baseball! Even my Punkin has started watching!
