Another great show tonight! We didn't get a production number by the professionals tonight, just a review of what the women did last night, but then the men turned it on for the competition! I have a theory about why mostly men have won DWTS - in ballroom dancing, it is mainly the woman who is showcased. The audience's eyes are naturally drawn to her. So if the woman is the professional dancer, the couple will naturally look better than the couples consisting of a male professional and a previously-untrained female. Just my theory.
My early favorites of the men are Indy car driver Helio Castroneves and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban - both of them surprised me with how well they did! Soap star Cameron Mathison didn't do too bad, and he's easy on the eyes. (Did anyone else see Edyta's thong showing??) Model Albert Reed (who?) was just odd. Not bad - but he's kinda dorky. I wasn't too impressed with Floyd Mayweather or Wayne Newton (Bubba's Mom calls him Fig Newton). If I had to pick one to go I'd say Floyd - Wayne deserves to stick around for a little while just for being the icon that he is. And he's lovable in a Jerry Springer kind-of way.
But only one will go home tomorrow - will it be a man or a woman? My prediction? Josie Maran. But we shall see....

The winner of the 1st season was a female. Interesting enough, her partner was Alec who went home 1st last season & more than likely 1st this season too. But I do think there is something to your theory. However, I think this year we could see a girl win. It's the first time we have the female equivalent to the boy band. And not one, but two females who come from dancing groups.
I do not like Mark Cuban at all so it would not hurt my feelings if he went home. I love dorky people so Albert really entertained me. As a former AMC fan, I was happy to see Cameron. I hope his legs don't give him too many problems. I'm a little worried about him. Bear really liked Floyd but I missed his dance. Wayne could go home. I thought he was awful. He has a large fan-base, plus his partner is Cheryl. He'll be staying. Helio was my favorite. And Juliane is still as cute as ever.
I'm with you on your prediction. I think Josie will have her last dance. She wasn't good and she doesn't have a huge fan base (at least not that I know of).
Wow, y'all are serious about this. I just thought that it was interesting that Cheryl got stuck with Wayne. Maybe we're tired of seeing her win... I, too, think we may see a female win this time. Lots of good first-week performances this season. Should be fun!
We are the equivalent to the 'after the game' sports commentators. ;)

D and I were right - Josie went home. Damn, we're good!
