Ten Things I'd Save In A Fire

Ten on Tuesday snuck up on me this week! Guess the holiday threw me off....

Assuming Hubby can get out safely on his own, here are Ten Things I'd Save In A Fire:
  1. my kids
  2. my dogs
  3. my scrapbooks
  4. as many photos as I could grab
  5. my computer (well, the tower - the part that has all my "stuff" on it!)
  6. my Bible
  7. my calendar book
  8. our box of important documents (no they are not in a fireproof safe - shame on us!)
  9. the kids' baby books
  10. my vacation spoons (collection started by my grandmother and passed on to me - very special to me!)

I forgot about our important documents, again! I guess that can be on Hubby's Top Ten of what to save in a fire. ;)

I like your list. Yikes now that I read more there are lots of things I didn't think of, like the baby books...
blessings.

A great list. Love your line "assuming husband can get out safely on his own."

When we moved into our new house, we first went out to get a safe deposit box. But we soon found it a major pain to keep so many useful things off site. We paid $40 or something at Target for a fireproof box (I hope it works!). I recommend getting one or getting a safe deposit box. Hell, having both and keeping the originals in the safe deposit box and copies in the fireproof box at home seems a pretty good idea...

Double shame on me - we have a fireproof box but haven't put anything in it.
Gotta work on that.
Bet the vacation spoons are nice.

I forgot to put my important documents on my list. Gotta have that passport!

Of COURSE my JameeForever CD! Of course, it would already be in my car because that's where I jam to it, plus there's a copy on my computer, so I'd have it covered. ;-)

LOL at the husband remark!

We have alot of the same things on our lists. If I kept my scrapbooks in the house instead of storing them in the garage, they would've made my list as well.

How many vacation spoons do you have in your collection?

Yeah, I need to get a fireproof box, too. Maybe I'll look for that tomorrow at Target...
