Tora! Tora! Tora!

The Wings Over Houston Airshow is this weekend - a 2-day event featuring some pretty awesome aerial demonstrations. This year the Canadian Forces Snowbirds will be showing off their precision acrobatics in the sky, the Texas Air National Guard F-16's will be doing fly-by's, there will be re-creatings of WWII battles, including the Tora Tora attack on Pearl Harbor, plus much more to delight the crowd.

I live about 2 miles from the runway. Every so often my house shakes with a fly-by. It's going to be a loud weekend.

The WWII battles are Bear's favorite part. Mine too, I must confess.

I drove under some of them earlier today. I love that that's one of the things we have near here.

And over here, in this part of the country? It's Fleet Week. The sailors are everywhere, getting lucky. Bringing as much awe and noise as any human can stand are the Blue Angels. What a great weekend!
