Now that the June bugs are gone (thank goodness!), Naughty Little Boy Dog can't find much to play with outside. Until now. Last night AND tonight, he has gotten hold of a big long EARTHWORM! He brought it in the doggie door and pranced around the house with it dangling from his mouth, like, "Look at me! Look what I've got!" At first I thought it was a small snake, but after getting it away from him we discovered it was just a worm. A big ol' LONG worm, that was kinda half-alive and half-dead. What kind of dog can catch a
worm?? That's gross, I say.

Was it big ol'? Or biggo?
You're right - it could have been a biggo worm. I'll check closer next time. ;-)
A good fishin' dog catches worms. He just wants to go fishing and is rounding up the bait!
Seriously though, what little boy -- be he human or canine -- doesn't like playing in the dirt and digging up worms?
Hey, I used to like doing that, too, Timmie! Not just for girls!
Man, we are country bumpkins, aren't we?
Katielady, I think we all may be bumpkins. My brother and I loved playing in the mud as children. And because Mom was the coolest, there were some rare times she'd even make mud for us to play in. Ahh, those were the days.
Mud and worms are fun. This morning he brought a little toad in the house. He played with it until it....well....it croaked! I found its twisted, dead body on the carpet.
I did think of saving the worms for the next time we go fishing...
