First babies have their portraits made at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year, etc. etc. There are a million pictures of them in their various stages of cuteness. Something happens, tho, and by the time the last of the babies comes around, we parents aren't as vigilant about capturing their cuteness. Poor Little Son was 18 months old before I had his portrait professionally taken. It's OK - you can gasp. I know I'm a bad mommy. Now I certainly had plenty of pictures I had taken of him at home - we're just talking professional portraits here.
So, at 18 months, I found a great photographer and we went out to a local park and captured some precious photos of my baby boy. Despite the heat and the mosquitoes that feasted upon his soft baby flesh, all the pictures turned out really good. This one is my favorite:
Notice his hand. Do you think he had a little resentment that I took so long to get around to having his picture taken?

He looks adorable!
That is hilarious! A boy in overalls can get away with anything!
That is too funny! If you hadn't have pointed it out, I'd likely not have noticed. But now that I do know it's there, it's so apparent!
That is hilarious!! I only have one kid but we stopped with the professional stuff around age 6. I really need to get us all to the photographer soon!
That is so funny! Like Patois said, if you hadn't pointed it out, I probably wouldn't have noticed.
That smile on his face is the best!
HA! We've never done professional photos...so I'm much worse than you. The expense has just always been more than we could stomach, but my husband has always done photos each year himself and since he's free...I always hire him.
This picture is adorable! What a treasure.
i noticed it before I read your words......
Kids "say" the darndest things!
Thanks for the little laugh today!
That IS priceless.
He's definitely trying to say something MOM.
I would have expected that from Bear, not Little Son! Too funny! It is a precious pic. These poor 2nd born children...
That is awesome. :o) As a second child, I agree with him.
2nd borns have a little tougher road. Now, come talk to my 3rd and 4ths. They will really give you the scoop.
I would never have noticed his hand if you hadn't pointed it out! Adorable photo anyway.
So cute and his message quite clear! :-)
But look at that precious face! And that smile. And you can't even see his cowlick!
AWESOME! You know I wish I could get my kids to flip the bird in a portrait. It would give my mother a heart attack! And the Christmas cards! Holy Hades!
That is a priceless picture...the expression is too cute!
Take care,
Julie
PS I want to hear about your disney cruise in 43 days! Where will you go?
ROTFLMAO! That's classic! Love it :)
