Ten Things About My Job

I missed last week's Ten on Tuesday list - Ten Things I Hate About My Job. This week's topic is Ten Things I Like About My Job. I only have a little part-time job anyway, so I decided to split the difference and do five of each so I'm all caught up! I can do that, right? Of course I can! It's MY blog!

Five Things I Hate About My Job:

  1. My office is in a file room with no windows - kind-of like a cave.
  2. The ladies' restroom is just outside my file room office - and every day the woman who works in the parts department takes a big poo in there and stinks up my office!!
  3. When I'm not there, people take my stuff off my desk. Not my PERSONAL stuff, but my pens or my scissors or my stapler....ticks me off.
  4. My computer at work does not have Internet access.
  5. I am constantly fixing stupid mistakes that people who were there before me made.

Five Things I Like About My Job:

  1. It's easy.
  2. I set my own hours.
  3. The pay is good.
  4. I get to organize things - I like to organize things.
  5. The guys in the parts department are funny and keep me entertained while I'm there.

Lord have mercy, I didn't even know that computers without Internet access still existed in the world! ;) Happy Tuesday, glad you're back!

You have the perfect job! Everyone wishes they had a job like yours, minus the stinky office. ;)

Yeah, stinky office, ewww. I have a thing, more like a phobia about smelling other people's poo. But I am pretty much rolling in laughter just thinking about you in the file closet with whiffs of poo bellowing through the door! xoxo

I'd make that lady very uncomfortable by saying something. She'll never be able to do it outside her own home again.

And I think the guys in parts are funny because they know what the lady in parts is doing!

Oh, too bad about the restroom thing.

My first job was not in a little file room but still in a building with no windows... it was a classified military project, and even though 99.9999% of the information had been declassified years earlier they still had the windows covered up. Since the office was in Seattle, in the winter I'd go in before sunrise and come out after sunset. Sometimes I felt nocturnal.

OMG this post made me laugh. Everything but #1 would drive me crazy about the things you hate. I can handle a cave as long as people leave my desk and stuff alone.
