Opening Day!

Baseball is back, and our Houston Astros played the Pittsburg Pirates tonight at Minute Maid Park. Unfortunately, they lost the opener - gotta do something about Lidge!! But that's OK - we've got the whole season ahead of us! Bring out the peanuts and Cracker Jacks - it's gonna be a great year!

Lidge needs therapy. The mental kind... I can't believe I wasn't there. Last year I missed my flight back from Austin and ended up renting a car so I could make it to Opening Day on time. I should have written a letter to someone regarding that. Maybe their guilt would have provided me with tickets this year.

Bubba and Bubba's Dad have gone to Opening Day since Bubba was just a little guy - until Bubba up and moved to NYC, which made it a little difficult to make it to Astros games. We're so glad he's moving home again so the tradition can start back up - and soon Drew can go with them!

Yes, I think about Bubba and your dad going to Opening Day annually. It's very Americana. I love it. And now 3 generations...it's enough to make anyone patriotic.

I went to Opening Day at Yankee Stadium this year, and I called the guy next to me Dad.

How long did it take the Texans to get it that Carr was the problem? How long will it take the Astros to get it that Lidge is a problem? Aggghhhhh!!
