It's that time of year - time to start thinking about "resolutions" for the new year ahead. Let's see how I did on last year's resolutions.....
#1 - get our finances in order and stay on budget
I don't even want to discuss this.
#2 - read more
Umm....I read 3 books this year. I am ashamed.
#3 - read my Bible more; I need to spend more time in God's word.
I probably did a little better with this one. Not as much as I should have, but better.
#4 - worry less
Ummm....yeah.
#5 - get more exercise
Does Dance Dance Revolution count? Does it count that I've only been doing it the past 3 days?
#6 - travel someplace that I've never been
I did go to a family camp that I've never been to before - that is a 1½ hour drive from home. I hardly consider that "travel". I think I've got this one covered for 2009, tho - our Spring Break Disney Cruise goes to the Bahamas, and I've never been there before!
#7 - take more pictures of our everyday lives and not just holidays and vacations
Hmmm.....I may have done OK with this one. I started carrying my camera with me, like D... does, and when I remember I have it, I use it!
Well, it seems I'm not an overwhelming success when it comes to New Year's Resolutions. I think to avoid embarrassing posts like this one next year, I just won't make any resolutions this year. That way, neither of us is disappointed in me!
How about you? Are YOU making any resolutions for 2009?

great post..Perhaps I will do this and maybe it will hold me a bit more accounable!!!
Your list sounds alot like mine! I guess I should put mine out there too! BTW - DDR does count just like Wii snowboarding or tennis!

No, nope goals for me as usual. The only reason I did last year was because Ten on Tuesday made me. ;) Why set myself up for failure? I fully realize the my self motivation is low & my flesh is weak. Hee! Altho, I didn't do *too* badly on last year's list. I should do this, too.
And hey! You started DDR before the new year so it does count!
Oh...I hadn't thought about this yet. Hmmmm. Nope. Not doing it. I don't need ANY more pressure.
Ah....I feel better already!
I really try not to make resolutions - at least not just for the sake of making them because really, do we keep them? I don't know.
DDR definitely counts as exercise!
I mirror what JenGi said--I'm like that. Maybe I should resolve to have my own thoughts!
I'm with you on the financial issue and the getting more exercise!
Um, hello, DDR totally counts as exercise.
Resolutions? Just to spend less, eat less, love more, move more. Oh and sew a nightgown without grievous injury. Just the basics.
Does reading blogs count? If so, I'm a star pupil. Well, I have been up until the last few weeks, anyhow.
