In honor of Hubby's birthday, I'm going to feature him in this week's Sincerely 'Fro Me to You. Because it's not always all about me; one day of the year I let it be about him. Happy Birthday, Baby!
A few years ago, when Daughter was entering Junior High, our church had a parent/student meeting about the Junior High Ministry program. It was both informative and fun. One of the games had a couple of parents and a couple of students get up on the stage - Hubby graciously volunteered to participate. Go, Hubby! The object of the game was to put a Tootsie Pop in your mouth and then say some phrase that I don't even remember. Then each contestant would add a Tootsie Pop and say it again. And so on and so on until one person was left standing.
Everyone started off well. At about four Tootsie Pops the first person dropped out. I noticed the girl next to Hubby gagging a bit, and prayed she didn't lose it. They were all starting to drool. It was hilarious. At about six Tootsie Pops another contestant dropped out. This left Hubby and the gagging girl. I was hysterical with laughter, and yet a bit worried at the same time. Dude had a LOT of Tootsie Pops crammed in his mouth. Of course, I had to get a picture.
I don't remember how many exactly he ended up with in there - I'm thinking about 8. Gagging girl beat him, and she didn't even throw up! But they both had drool all down their shirts and very sticky lips! He won some sort of prize for second place - and made his daughter so very proud! Or was it embarrassed? Whichever. We were ALL quite impressed!

I remember that! We kept thinking there is no way another Tootsie Pop would fit, but your Hubby made it work! Lucky for you I always carry a camera in my purse. ;)
You're also lucky he doesn't read this. I had one of Big D & me for last week, but he adamantly "forbid" me to use it. And I couldn't even promise with fingers crossed behind my back.
Thats really funny! Way to be a team sport, Go Dad and happy Birthday!
LOVE this...right down to the drool running down his cheeks. You have a keeper, B/S, but then you already knew that. xo

Woman! What are you doing posting this at 1am?!? Don't you know sleep is good for you?
That is funny. I've never heard of this game, but would be a fun one to try. Happy Birthday to the hubby.
What a fun hubby you have! We did Chubby Bunny with marshmallows at church-until a kid almost choked to death.
Fun times :D
LOL...I love Tootsie Pops, but I don't think I could get more than 3 in my mouth at one time.
Hi there! I have an award for you over at my blog.
Ahahahahahahaha - that is an awesome and hilarious story! I love it! What a lucky woman you are ;-)
Whatta man! That boy's got skillz!
I use to love it in youth when we'd do stuff like cram as many marshmallows in our mouths as possible. ;) haha fun times
