Ten Songs That Make Me Sad

My Ten on Tuesday list for this week - Ten Songs That Make Me Sad:

  1. Where've You Been? by Kathy Mattea
  2. Walking Her Home by Mark Schultz
  3. Because He Lives (because it was my grandmother's favorite hymn and hearing it makes me think of her)
  4. To Make You Feel My Love by Garth Brooks
  5. After All This Time by Rodney Crowell
  6. Don't Take the Girl by Tim McGraw (the video is really the killer on this one)
  7. I'm Already There by Lonestar (go ahead - watch the video and try to not cry)
  8. Hurt by Johnny Cash
  9. Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss
  10. It's Your Song by Garth Brooks (sorry, can't find a good link to this one)

Hmmm......mostly country songs. Interesting.

We have one overlapping (but I haven't posted yet). And I really like #4. I can see that scene in Hope Floats where Harry Connick and Sandra Bullock are embraced/dancing to it. Sigh... I usually hate it when people dance that way (with the arm positioning they had) but come on, it's Harry Connick. I like it.

Great first list! And it seems that most country songs have a sorta sad theme, huh?
