Thursday night D and I went the the Matchbox Twenty concert! We got downtown faster than we anticipated, and were there when they opened the doors. We found our great seats, ate some yummy dinner, and at 7:00 the opening act took the stage - a band called Mute Math. We weren't so crazy about them - a large part of their act involved strobe lights flashing into the audience, something D and I found quite annoying. Not because we're old. Just because it's annoying. Next on the stage was Alanis Morissette, who was better but still just OK. More bright flashing lights, and she gets a little whiney, in my opinion. Not because I'm old. Just because. FINALLY at 9:00 or so, Matchbox Twenty came on, and they were AWESOME! D and I had such a great time singing and dancing to the music, and their Bright Lights? Oh-so-much better!
We got home late - after midnight. I think we were both dragging on Friday!
Hubby and I also attended a birthday party for a friend over the weekend - her 40th. The party started at a Mexican restaurant, where the margaritas and Coronas were flowing, then moved to a club on the lake - literally ON the lake, as it is a barge connected to the land by a pier. We had a great time and it was another late night for me.
Yeah, I'm tired. Maybe I AM old.

You seriously like making me jealous, don't you? j/k
I'm so glad to hear you had such a fantastic weekend!
OMG, I am SO in love with Rob Thomas. He is so hot and his voice is mesmerizing! :)
Glad you had a good time.
I'm old, too. Not sure when that happened but just can't stay out late like I used to... It's sad really.
Age is just a state of mind. Have fun you two wild and crazy girls!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the photo! I'm with Misty, jealous as it gets right now. I'm moving to TX now...okay not right now, but soon...okay not soon, but it could happen. I LOVE this song, I could sooo have sung it with you. I hear John Lennon when he gets to the "let that city take you in!' part.
Y'all aren't as old as me 'n John up here trying to stave off the stupid stamp tax and an overbearing King and Queen--but no worries, the colonies are safe in our hands. xoxoxo
Matchbox Twenty would have been awesome!!
Tired is one thing. Old is another. We're not old, we're just life-experienced!!!
That's right, we aren't OLD. We just don't like strobe lights in our eyes. Nor do we like getting up EARLY after a late night out. That's all, nothing old about us. ;)
It was such a fun night! And yes, Rob Thomas' voice is mesmerizing. He sounds stupendous live. Not as stupendous as Bon Jovi tho. He's spectacular. ;)
And, Stacey, come on down!
